Ballet L1 (6-9)

This class is the student’s first introduction to formal ballet class structure. More advanced stretching and strengthening exercises are given, barre work is introduced with a greater emphasis on vocabulary and French terminology. Musicality continues to be emphasized along with balance and coordination through the strengthening of the body core. Center floor work is introduced with continued focus on the positions of the arms, legs and feet using classical ballet vocabulary.

Attire: Fuchsia Leotard, Pink Tights, Ballet Shoes

Ballet L1 (6-9) Class performing at the Christmas Spectacular

Ballet L1 - Beginner

More advanced stretching and strengthening exercises are given, barre work is introduced with a greater emphasis on vocabulary and French terminology. Musicality continues to be emphasized along with balance and coordination through the strengthening of the body core. Center floor work is introduced with continued focus on the positions of the arms, legs and feet using classical ballet vocabulary.

Attire: Teal Leo, Pink Tights, Ballet Shoes

Ballet L2 - Intermediate

*Requirements: Minimum 2-3 years of ballet training. By instructor placement only!

The advanced level challenges the student with more complex combinations at the barre and in the center. The student will work on fluidity of movement, balance, and combinations.

Attire: Cherry Leotard, Pink Tights, Ballet Shoes

Ballet L3 - Advanced

*Requirements: A more involved class than Intermediate for students with secure technique and the capacity to keep up in a fast-paced class.

This class is for the strong dancer or student who is knowledgeable and secure in all steps. Large movements, beats, many pirouettes in all positions. Not for the unskilled.

Attire: Black Lace Leotard, Pink Tights, Ballet Shoes.
